Vision

Our vision is to create safer communities and promote public protection.  We will achieve this by building upon the work of the exisitng community safety and planning partnerships.

Aims

Our aims are to:

• Reduce the numbers of remands and promote the use of community based disposal as an alternative to short prison sentences;
• Improve the credibility of community based sentences;
• Promote partnership working across the CJA partner bodies;
• Manage and target our resources to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness;
• Engage more effectively with communities; and
  
• Community safety and public protection is at the core of the work of the Community Justice Authority and our partners.  We will, at all times, therefore, be sensititve to the needs of victims and concerns of our communities.
